Best Gaming Chair 2021 3

Long gaming sessions can wreak havoc on your entire body. Gone are the days of sitting on a kitchen chair, with brands like Cooler Master, Anda Seat, Secretlab and Razer launching some of the most comfortable chairs we’ve ever sat in. Herman Miller and Logitech teamed up for our favourite of the year, and we can’t wait to see what innovations they come up with next.

Here are CGMs nominees for Best Gaming Chair 2021/22:

Cooler Master Caliber R2C Gaming Chair

Cooler Master Caliber R2C Gaming Chair Review 2

Writer: Joe Findlay
Score: 8
Price: $299

The Cooler Master Caliber R2C is a beautiful chair, but built for more than just looks. It is built from formaldehyde-free material which is incredibly durable. It is waterproof and scratch resistant and undergoes a number of durability tests at Cooler Master, being able to withstand 30,000 tests before any fabric ripping occurs. The chair comes with adjustable pillows for the back and neck to allow for a customisable level of comfort, no matter the size of its occupant. They are also removable for those who prefer not to have them at all.

A price point of $299 USD is not the most expensive chair out there by any means, but expensive enough that you know you aren’t buying a budget chair. For a piece of furniture that you will undoubtedly spend a lot of time sitting in, the Caliber R2C chair is a more bang for your buck option for sure.

The Cooler Master Caliber R2C Gaming Chair is a fantastic chair and is a wonderful combination of coolness, comfort and aesthetic. It’s sturdy and delivers on every one of their promises. It is well worth the money.

Anda Seat Kaiser II Gaming Chair

Anda Seat Kaiser Ii Chair Review 1

Writer: David Walters
Score: 9
Price: $749.99

Getting this big guy out of the box was no easy feat, let me just say right off. The weight of this chair, according to Anda Seat’s website, is ~72lbs. That’s just over a third of my total body weight…for a chair! There were a fair few parts that needed to go together to bring this bad boy to life, but assembly was generally pretty simple. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but I did have an issue with one of the bolts in one of the armrests. Since the armrests and seat base use the same bolts, it was a quick swap and things went pretty smoothly.

After spending as much time in this chair as I have, I can say that I would recommend this chair to everyone. It comes in different sizes, something for everyone. The only possible negative thing I could find about the Kaiser II is the price. At $749.99 CAD it’s a bit on the expensive side. It is a fantastic investment though, if you need a good quality chair that will last you for years. Best of all though, it came in red, my favourite colour.

The Anda Seat Kaiser II is comfortable, adjustable, reliable, and durable. Everything I could ever ask for in an office/gaming chair.

Secretlab Cyberpunk 2077 Edition

Secretlab Cyberpunk 2077 Edition Titan Chair Review 6

Writer: Brendan Frye
Score: 9
Price: $629

The Secretlab Titan is a quality built offering, and the Secretlab Cyberpunk 2077 Edition inherits all the important features and improvements we have seen in their 2020 range of chairs. These include the metal buttons, Prime 2.0 PU Leather, and it shows. The chair stood up to everyday use with no signs of wear even after a month of heavy use. While it is not unexpected from the brand, who have shown a consistent attention to quality and detail, it is a good sign for this special edition offering that you want to last.

Secretlab has outdone themselves with Cyberpunk 2077 Edition Titan. From the use of materials, to the colour and even the stitching, this is a chair that will turn heads and be comfortable while it does so. While it is on the upper end of gaming chairs in terms of price, you get what you pay for, and if you want a gaming chair that will last, be comfortable, and catch the eye, look no further than SecretLab, they have you covered.

Oozing with style and made to last, the Secretlab Cyberpunk 2077 Edition Titan is a striking and comfortable option that will make any fan of the game very happy.

Razer Iskur Fabric Gaming Chair

Best Gaming Chair 2021/22

Writer: Dayna Eileen
Score: 9
Price: $799

I can gladly say that the Razer Iskur Fabric comes closer to properly fitting my body than any other chair, gaming or otherwise, has. The Autonomous ErgoChair 2 is a close second because it fits my height, but even with all its adjustments, the Iskur Fabric is far more comfortable, especially after long sitting sessions. The only problem I find with my height and the chair is that the nape of my neck sits significantly below the included memory foam neck cushion, which is removable. Problem solved!

The Razer Iskur Fabric brings your gaming space to a whole new level of sophistication and comfort and can fit in just about anywhere. Razer has long been a brand specializing in style, function, and versatility, and they have hit the nail on the head with the Razer Iskur Fabric.

Razer is no stranger to sleek style and premium quality, but they have gone above and beyond with the Razer Iskur Fabric, while still maintaining comfort for gamers of all sizes.

Herman Miller X Logitech G Gaming Chair (Winner, Best Gaming Chair 2021)

Best Gaming Chair 2021/22

Writer: Lindsay Traves
Score: 10
Price: $1595

The Embody chair was originally designed with a gamut of experts, including physicians, and PhD’s in physical therapy and ergonomics. To create this chair, they extended the research to what suits gamers to add features like a different foam to support long hours at play. So how does it work for women?

The first thing to note is that this chair is low profile, lower profile than the racing style gaming chairs discussed in this series. It has a narrow (but not too narrow) back rest and no headrest. Its height adjustability is not at all limiting and will be suitable for a multitude of people, big or small. Unlike the Aeron, the seat base is flat, which makes it conducive to hip and thigh width, and multiple leg positions.

This backrest is worth the hype. Instead of focusing on umbar and a headrest, this chair envelopes your entire spine in innovation.
