It looks like Nintendo has finally remembered about their plans on the mobile Animal Crossing game, a special 15 minute Nintendo Direct will air tomorrow, on October 24 at 8:00 pm PT/ 11:00 pm ET dedicated to the mobile title.
Nintendo also made it clear that the Direct will only be focusing on Animal Crossing for mobile, so those expecting a few extra Nintendo Switch or 3DS announcements should look elsewhere.

The last fully featured Animal Crossing game to come out was Animal Crossing: New Leaf all the way back in 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS. Since then, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival (Wii U) and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer (Nintendo 3DS) came out, but those titles can be considered to be spinoffs rather than traditional entries into the series. Hopefully, the Animal Crossing mobile experience can live up to the same quality found in the mainline animal crossing games, or at least hold fans over until the next instalment on a Nintendo console.
