Time to chrome up chooms. EA and Respawn Entertainment collaborate with CD PROJEKT RED to announce an upcoming Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event.
As the Legends gear up with Cyberware mods, Apex Legends kicks off an exciting collaboration with the Cyberpunk universe on July 14, 2026, bringing CD PROJEKT RED’s beloved franchise to the Action-FPS Hero Shooter title. With the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event right around the corner, step into Night City E-District, partake in the new Wildcard Event with two new cyberware mods, and unlock new Legend and Weapon skins from Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
For those looking to join the chaos in time for the event, Apex Legends is a Hero Shooter and Battle Royale, featuring many Legends with powerful abilities to climb the ranks toward fame and glory. Stepping into an intense and fast-paced Battle Royale, players must work together with their teammates to eliminate their enemies, create a powerful combination with their abilities, and utilize their surroundings in various maps to their advantage. Alongside the Battle Royale mode, players can play Wildcard mode and Mixtape mode, rotating between Control, Gun Run, and Team Deathmatch.
Loosely inspired by Cyberpunk’s chaotic Night City, the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event invites players to Night City E-District. Stepping into the new map, the Night City E-District features towering neon skyboxes, holographic koi swimming in the skies, glitched-out signage, Arasaka taking over the Energy Bank, and the bright Neon Flare.
As players cause havoc across the Night City E-District, a new Wildcard event will be available during the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event, featuring Cyberware mods referencing David and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. As a tribute to David, players can wield the Sandevistan for speed, allowing them to dash in any direction, chain two dashes to close the gaps before touching the ground, and escape from danger. Alongside the Sandevistan, harness Lucy’s Netrunner skills with the Blackwall Breach, allowing players to phase into the Net to reposition and unleash a devastating blast that breaks enemies’ shields as they return from the Net.
With Cyberware mods being available in the Wildcard Event, players will need to monitor their Cyberware Capacity, as they can enter a Cyberpsychosis if they use the Cyberware mods too much. Entering Cyberpsychosis, players will be granted high-speed movement and devastating melee damage, although they won’t be able to wield weapons, abilities, shields, or ordnance. However, Immunoblocker Syringes will be scattered across the map for players to reverse their Cyberpsychosis, and they can reset their Cyberware Capacity meter with the Immunoblocker Caches.
Arriving at the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event, players can wield the Mythic Skippy Alternator, with the option to choose between the Puppy Loving Pacifist mode or Stone Cold Killer mode. Additionally, the Skippy can be upgraded with Exotic Shards, unlocking new visuals, ordnance skins, and knock effects.
Before wrapping up, lists of Legend and Weapon skins will be available for players to purchase in the Reward Shop with the Eddies they earn throughout the event. From what we know so far, the skins included are Arasaka Epic Valkyrie Skin, a Kang-Tao Epic Skin, and more to be announced. Additionally, eight Weapon Skins will be available for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber.
Alongside the Weapon Skins, eight Legend Skins will be available during the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event, representing the characters from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Cyberpunk 2077. The skins that will be available are:
- Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Available for Axle
- David from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Available for Sparrow
- Female V from Cyberpunk 2077 – Available for Lifeline
- Male V from Cyberpunk 2077 – Available for Crypto
- Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Available for Rampart
- Panam from Cyberpunk 2077 – Available for Loba
- Lizzy Wizzy from Cyberpunk 2077 – Available for Ash
- Royce from Cyberpunk 2077 – Available for Gibraltar
Quite an exciting event for Apex Legends and Cyberpunk fans to look forward to, especially as we recently got more information about Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ second season. With the Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event launching on July 14, 2026, new and returning players can join the chaotic event in Apex Legends on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One / Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
