Attack on Titan Finale Part 2's New Trailer Gets Intense

With Attack on Titan reaching its epic conclusion with this final part, a new trailer was released at Anime Expo, confirming the Fall release window.

Thinking about the Island and the Walls seemed like decades ago when people mentioned Attack on Titan. Anime Expo 2023 Day 2 showed a new trailer for Attack on Titan Final Season The Final Chapters Part 2. This brand-new trailer showed off some small action sequences, giving a sneak peek at what is to come in this climactic end for the series. And yes, I can confirm the show will be ending…unless they go beyond the content of the manga.

If you have not heard about Attack on Titan or are still catching up, there may be some spoilers up ahead. But if you do not mind, here is the synopsis shared about this final part: “The fate of the world hangs in the balance as Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans. With a burning determination to eliminate all who threaten Eldia, he leads an unstoppable army of Colossal Titans toward Marley. Now a motley crew of his former comrades and enemies scramble to halt his deadly mission. The only question is, can they stop him?”

The trailer exuded epic-ness as Armin carried most of the dialogue, talking about his vision of “running up the hill with the tree.” Then, it ended with Mikasa’s voice-over saying, “I will see you again, Eren.” The chills were present. This trailer premiered yesterday at the MAPPA x Crunchyroll panel at Anime Expo 2023.

While no release date has been confirmed, the autumn release window has been reaffirmed. With the first season premiering in April 2013, the 10-year mark passed this spring, almost as big as when the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) monolithically ended an era with Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame.

However, Attack on Titan had a rough time after season one as the show was put on hold for about four years later in April 2017 when it returned for season 2. The manga was moving at a literal snail’s pace, due to the writer Hajime Isayama taking multiple breaks. It was to a point where only a chapter a month was being released!

But as soon as the second season came back, each year since has had either a season or a part of the show airing. I am glad the show waited because it could have been a whole George R. R. Martin debacle with HBO’s Game of Thrones all over again.

Overall, I am excited to see these final few chapters of Attack on Titan animated for the absolute ending of this series (no way, they hit us with another special or part, right!). I am ready to close this book, as I did the manga. All I will say for fans only watching the show expect the expected and unexpected. Also, the action should go crazy in this last part. That is all.
