Bandai Namco Announces Some Fly Tekken Duds

If you’re looking for a way to tell the world that you may have thrown your son off of a cliff or just want everyone to know who the true King of Iron Fist happens to be, Bandai Namco has you covered. In celebration of the latest entry in their wildly popular 3D fighting game, Tekken 7, Bandai Namco spared no expense in keeping you looking stylish.

On Sept 27, 2016 Bandai Namco announced the luxurious Tekken 7 Heihachi Sukajan Jacket, blessing fans with the gift of high fashion. Sukajan is a style of bomber jacket that traces its origins to post Second World War Japan, notably to areas surrounding Allied military bases, as they were a popular souvenir for American soldiers. The jackets typically resemble standard bomber jackets, but with a silkier texture and bright, shining colours. Though they may look brash and loud, the intricate embroidery on these jackets make them quite a fashion statement, and they’re often reversible, which is pretty neat too.

Namco Bandai’s version lives up to all of those expectations and then some. Designed by a former contestant on Project Runway, a popular fashion design reality show, the TEKKEN 7 Heihachi Sukajan Jacket is extremely detailed and offers two sides both inspired by the curmudgeonly patriarch of the Mishima family. One side brings together bright burgundy and gold with a stylized depiction of Fujin, the Japanese god of wind, while the other paints a more traditional picture, dark grey with a roaring lion, reminiscent of Heihachi’s signature Gi.

It’s a nice looking jacket, and it comes with an estimated $450 price tag. Don’t worry about the cost, however, as all Tekken 7 Heihachi Sukajan Jacket comes with a copy of Tekken 7 at no additional charge. Tekken 7 currently does not have a release date but is expected in early 2017.
