The Blood of Dawnwalker is about to get its biggest update since launch in early September, adding a wealth of features and fixes. An infographic from developer Rebel Wolves even states there are over 1100 improvements and fixes coming, feeling quite reminiscent of The Witcher 3’s launch years ago. Update 1.1 launches next week.
In a post on Dawnwalker’s official X account, Rebel Wolves shared the biggest new features coming to the game. You can see the major highlights below.
- Draught of Mind Rebirth – Free your mind with the Draught of Mind Rebirth. Forget all your Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism abilities, and use the time you spent learning them to master a different set of abilities.
- Petting Animals – What happens when you merge a direction combat system with an ability to pet dogs and cats? Directional. Animal. Petting.
- Update to the Story Mode – Pick between the Forgiving game difficulty (Previously called Story) and a new Story mode with additional combat assist.
- Additional subtitle settings – Increase the font size and enable subtitles for ALL dialogue lines.
In addition to these features, there’s a wealth of other changes and tweaks coming to the game, including camera improvements in combat, improved targeting and lock-on, better responsiveness for traversal when using Shadowstep and Planeshift, an update to the FrameGen technology that includes dedicated settings, and more. A full list of patch notes and changes should be available when the update launches sometimes next week, although Rebel Wolves has yet to share the exact day and time.
In all, this is the biggest update Dawnwalker has seen yet, although the obvious missing piece is New Game Plus, which the studio previously said would arrive in a “future” update.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is the first game from Polish studio Rebel Wolves, founded in 2022 by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
