Crytek has announced the opening of Crytek Instanbul will focus on the development of free-to-play and online games.
As well, Crytek has said they will also have a focus on Crytek’s Warface and social gaming network GFACE, while overseeing the growth of CryENGINE in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa.
CEO Cevat Yerli said in a press release, the company has had ambitions to invest in Turkey for a while and believe that now is the time to do so.
“Crytek Istanbul not only opens the door to further growth, it represents reinvestment in a country that has special bonds for us as a company,” he said.
This is Crytek’s eighth internationl studio so far, with its main headquaters located in Germany. Crytek’s list of studios include the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, South Korea, the U.K. and China.
