Developers claim PlayStation 4 faster than Xbox One

According to developers, the PlayStation 4 reads memory 40 to 50 percent times faster than its next-gen competitor, the Xbox One.

In an interview with Edge magazine, the developers said the difference between the two consoles when it comes to performance is “significant”, and “obvious.” They added the ALU (arithmetic logic unit) is 50 percent faster than that of the Xbox One.

Microsoft is aware of the situation, and has recently increased the clock speed of the Xbox One. However, a developer explained the change to the clock speed is insignificant.

“It does not change things that much,” he said. “Of course, something is better than nothing.”
