Disney+ Day is Coming with Fantastic Deal, New Content and More

Disney+ Day is giving its fans a discount for the service and specific Marvel movies will be IMAX-enhanced as more new content drops.

The second annual Disney+ Day, on Friday, November 12, 2021, marks a huge achievement for the streaming platform. With its humble beginnings of releasing The Mandalorian and charming audiences with Grogu (aka Baby Yoda), the streaming site has brought everyone’s favourite classics and reeled in new fans with more modern, diverse content. To give back to the fan base, from Monday, November 8 to Sunday, November 14, 2021, Disney+ will only cost $1.99 for one month.

The Chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, Kareem Daniel, commented on Disney+ Day, “With Disney+ Day, we are creating an unparalleled experience for our subscribers as only The Walt Disney Company can.”

This is in reference to the fact that on Friday, November 12, at 9:00am ET, fans will be able to see the exclusive updates coming to Disney+ on their social media. Also, there will be a special presentation from Pixar Animation Studios starting at 11:00am ET and a presentation from Marvel Studios at 11:45am ET. There are hints of other sneak peeks going to happen from all its production companies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.

Another awesome feature fans can take advantage of on Disney+ Day is that 13 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films will be available to be viewed automatically with IMAX Enhanced. The teams at Disney, Marvel Studios, IMAX and DTS collaborated to offer fans the true cinematic experience in the comfort of their homes. CEO of IMAX, Rich Gelfond, said, “For more than a decade, IMAX has helped filmmakers take fans across the Marvel Cinematic Universe in theatres and now that epic journey crosses into a new world: the home.”

This enhancement brings IMAX’s Enhanced Aspect Ratio of 1:90:1, which allows up to 26% more screen space to enjoy more action with no black bars or borders. The teams at Disney+ and DTS also commented as being thrilled to create this new improvement and even hint that IMAX Enhanced will be available for a lot more titles in the future. For now, these titles will have the IMAX Enhanced versions out on November 12:

If you have not signed up for Disney+, this week or Disney+ Day might be the ideal time to pay only $2 for lots of content to enjoy for the month.
