First Look At Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves Star Studded Trailer 1

With D&D surging in interest, it makes sense that Paramount chose now to unveil the first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

Kicking off San Diego Comic-Con, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is following the trend of bringing back properties that suffered with their 90s and early 00s film adaptations. The new film looks to bring a new more action-packed tone, while throwing a good mix of humour and classic references for good measure.

“A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”

With some pretty fantastic effects, and a faithful portrayal of many of the monsters and creatures fans of D&D should recognize, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves looks like it could finally bring a worthwhile adaption to the screen. If nothing else, the cast is fantastic, boasting some big names including: Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, and Hugh Grant.

From mimics, to dragons, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is looking to pack its playtime with fan favourite references that feel much more true to the source material. Chris Pine is bringing a charm and impact that past iterations sadly lacked. It also looks like the budget is on full display, bringing the world to life in a way not seen in previous attempts. It is hard to say how the final product will look, but from the trailer, we are already doing better than the 2016 Warcraft movie.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is slated to hit theatres everywhere March 3rd, 2023.
