Fortnite Chapter 2 Concludes on December 4th

All things must come to an end as Epic Games has announced that Fortnite Chapter 2 will conclude in the Season 8 cinematic live event simply known as “The End” starting on December 4th at 4 p.m. ET.

Not named after century-old Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater villain of the same name, but the one-time-only in-game event signifies the finale of the Cube Queen’s war. She prepares her endgame for the island and the combatants who oppose her, check out the trailer to get a better understanding of the chapter-ending event.

The End will support parties of up to 16 players queued up together like similar past events. Players will go through a special playlist that will be available in Fortnite 30 minutes prior to the start time, which will be 3:30 p.m. ET on December 4th. So mark your calendars now.

“Content creators and players looking to relive the final moments of Fortnite Chapter 2 should take steps to record and archive their experience as replays will not be available,” Epic said in a blog post.

“Players will be unable to edit their settings once ‘The End’ begins, so please adjust any visual options to your preferred viewing experience before joining. Because the Season will end a day early, all players who log in before the end of the season will receive a 225,000 XP reward.”

When the first chapter of Fortnite wrapped up it ended with an event also known as ‘The End’ which led to the original island blowing up. Afterward, Fortnite was offline for a couple of days but Epic Games relaunched the game as Fortnite: Chapter 2 which featured a fresh user interface and new mechanics.

Rather than continue to Season 9, It’s assumed the same will happen with the Chapter 2 finale with the introduction of Fortnite Chapter 3. The next chapter has been rumoured to launch sometime in December with leaks suggesting Epic Games will use the downtime to update Fortnite‘s gameplay mechanics and shift the game to Unreal Engine 5.

Players with Bars or Battle Stars should use them before the end of the season as they won’t carry over to Chapter 3. Beginning on November 30th, character services and exotic item trades will be discounted in the bargain Bin Week. If players have any quests they have finished, you might want to get on that because your time to do that is now.
