It appears as though Fortnite is about to embark on an exciting new chapter, likely with a brand-new map, as Chapter 3 comes to a close.
However, before it can embark on this new chapter, Epic is going to have to wrap up Fortnite Chapter 3 with a big event. On Saturday, December 3 at 4 p.m. ET, Epic is planning a big chapter—and season-ending event.
Epic has released a few teasers, which mainly relate to the current season’s theme of Fractured, but even so little has been revealed about what exactly the event will entail.
This could be a unique event for Fortnite that is well worth being a part of. We have seen a variety of Fortnite characters roaming around the island in the teasers, with most of them appearing to be in the middle of a match before some undisclosed event makes everyone stop in a state of shock. What the event actually entails is still shrouded in mystery, but from the looks of things, gamers are in for a treat.
There will be a 30-minute queue for the epic event as usual, which is to help give servers a break and ease up the login queue in the game so that the servers can take some time off. It is even possible that Epic will allow players to join the event in progress until 4:40 p.m. ET—which could mean that the process will take a while to complete.
However, Epic has also made it clear that this will be one of the only events of its kind, and it will not be repeated later in the day as well—so if you’d like to be there when the season ends on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, you’ll need to be there at that time.
Epic hasn’t yet announced exactly when the next Chapter of Fortnite will begin, and their history has shown that there is typically a little bit of downtime after chapter-ending events.
