According to leakers on the next mid-season event pass, Fortnite’s next big collaboration will feature Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Everyone is aware of Fortnite’s ability to collab with so many IPs, ranging from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball to the most recent team-ups with celebrities like Lady Gaga. The next collab seems to be one with Nickelodeon’s animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, according to a leaker who spotted something last night in the game’s code related to the upcoming event pass.
The crossover was spotted online and discussed much last night due to the prolific Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey. This would follow the current collab of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Fortnite’s event passes typically include a free and premium reward track, with progress unlocked via daily and weekly challenges. Past event passes have included Star Wars and Dragon Ball. This next event makes sense since Netflix just released their live-action adaptation of the original 2005 animated series.
The leaker posted some of the general details they found out. The in-game data suggests the event pass will reward the players with Avatar: The Last Airbender hero Aang as a skin and the hairy flying bison Appa to ride as a glider. Strangely enough, the leak briefly mentioned how there would be a Lego variant of the Aang skin. In order to get the Appa glider, apparently players will have to collect six books in-game somehow. They also noted how the Premium Reward Track items may be available in the Item Shop at a later date.
With Chapter 5 Season 2 being a couple of weeks away still, it may be awhile before more details become concrete. But it is certainly exciting to see the bald boy with the blue arrow on his head, head on over to Fortnite. Last week, Fortnite kicked off its new season of the Guitar Hero-like Fortnite Festival with a big collaboration starring Lady Gaga. Lego Fortnite got a new fishing update, while Rocket Racing added a Time Trial mode. As for the classic battle royale portion, an Ancient Greece theme is expected. Could it be related to the Percy Jackson series, maybe?
