Forza Horizon 5 Follows Predecessors With An Exciting Hot Wheels DLC Launching Today

The Forza Horizon series and Hot Wheels are old friends, and these old friends are reuniting for another instalment with the first Forza Horizon 5 DLC featuring toy car mayhem.

Fans waiting to get their hands on the hottest wheels in racing wont have to wait any longer.

Today, the first DLC package for the latest entry in Xbox’s flagship racing franchise, Forza Horizon 5 launches, unleashing Hot Wheels on Mexico. It’s worth mentioning that Forza x Hot Wheels has happened before in other instalments of the Horizon series, and that there were already toy car inspired drivable vehicles included with the base game. Including the almost comically staple entry, the Bone Shaker, which has been included in Horizon and Motorsport games for years. A long time coming indeed.

Xbox Game Pass has already blessed the Forza community with the release of almost all the mainline titles in the series on the service, but now they have taken things up another notch. Xbox Game Pass members will be able to get the exciting new DLC at a discounted rate, as opposed to those unsubscribed to the service. The view from the outside looking in already looks crazy enough, but here is an image detailing what the Hot Wheels map will look like, as PureXbox posts.

This toy car playground could be described as Mario Kart: Super Circuit‘s Ribbon Road track, meets realistic car driving in a massive mashup. It’s a great reason for fans to get reacquainted with Forza Horizon 5.

Fans looking to jump in on the action can secure their expansion for $19.99, or $17.99 for Game Pass subscribers. There is another option, with the expansions’ bundle that nets all the upcoming DLC for Horizon 5 in a neat package for $34.99. The Hot Wheels track cuts the opening day ribbon at 1 p.m. EST today, so fans can fire up their engines in preparation.
