HP’s gaming peripherals division, HyperX has revealed its newest wireless gaming headphones called the Cloud MIX Buds which is the brand’s first True Wireless gaming headset that has been designed for multiplatform gaming and digital lifestyle users.
HyperX’s newest hardware peripheral features dual-mode wireless connectivity, low-latency 2.4GHz wireless for gaming, and Bluetooth 5.2 which allows users of the earbuds to listen wherever they go. The earbuds utilize a USB type-C connection which is compatible with all sorts of media devices through a 2.4GHz USB Type-C wireless desktop adapter which comes in the box. Users can use the adaptor to improve “accessibility and enable the dongle to serve as a remote control to switch between 2.4HGz and Bluetooth connectivity.” The gaming peripherals brand says the charging case which comes with a silicone sleeve protects the Buds from damage, the case is also used to store the 2.4GHz USB-C adapter.
“We are excited to enter the true wireless market with a truly game-changing technology enabling gamers to take their game with them wherever they go. HyperX continues to meet the ever-changing needs of gamers across all platforms, including those who want a dual wireless connection with split-second quick changes across multiple platforms,” HyperX vice president and general manager, Kevin Hague said in a press release.
The truly wireless earbuds feature large 12mm dynamic drivers and DTS Headphone:X for an immersive in-game audio experience, 7.1 surround sound with precise spatialization and localization, and a battery that will last up to 33 hours of power on a single charge. The company’s INGENUITY software allows users to personalize their preferred sound profile including EQs plus assign and re-assign touch controls.
Anyone interested in the HyperX Cloud MIX Buds can expect the product to be available in June 2022 at a retail price of $149.99 USD through the HyperX U.S. Shop. As a disclaimer, the company does state that users may experience shipping delays due to the current COVID-19 situation but adds that it is taking every measure so that the product is available to customers and is delivered in a timely manner.
