Illuminarium is a new, tech-driven entertainment experience coming to The Distillery District of Toronto next month in partnership with the award-winning interactive VR and AR experiences at Secret Location.
In partnership with the Toronto-based Secret Location, an all-new, tech-driven entertainment experience called Illuminarium was announced and is coming to The Distillery Historic District on August 25th, 2023. Created by global leaders in cinematic and interactive content, architecture, and theatrical design, this venue will feature two immersive experiences for fans of all ages to enjoy, as well as an after-dark experience for adults. This will be the third location, with sister locations in Atlanta and Las Vegas.
With this new addition to the city of Toronto comes an exciting place for people to come and try a unique and thrilling experience like nothing they’ve ever seen. With the partnership between Secret Location and Illuminarium Experiences is a ton of potential for visitors and locals alike.

The first shows coming to the Illuminarium at The Distillery District are:
SPACE: A JOURNEY TO THE MOON & BEYOND — an “out-of-this-world” immersive experience, taking visitors on a journey across the galaxy. The exhibition will include imagery from the James Webb Telescope, showing off a nebula, the moon, Saturn’s rings, and an asteroid belt.
WAKING WONDERLAND — created by Secret Location, it’s an interactive adventure inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. Tumble down the rabbit hole, chase the Cheshire Cat, go to the Mad Hatter’s tea factory, and more!
SPACE AFTER DARK (coming in September) — guests 19+ can enjoy cocktails served by robots, while surrounded by fantastical dreamscapes.
Future Illuminarium events coming to The Distillery District will include a WILD Safari Experience, Lite Brite Worlds of Wonder, The Greatest Moments in Rock & Roll, a Prehistoric World Dinosaur Experience, and many more, so buckle up for the newest attraction to Toronto!
