IndieGoGo Project Sending Next-Gen Consoles To Troops

While many organizations send medical aid and food supplies, Operation Supply Drop provides something many wouldn’t consider: fun.

This non-profit corporation sends yearly video-game care packages to troops in war-filled areas (Afghanistan, Iraq), and military hospitals in the United States. And this year, they’re trying to send Xbox One and PlayStation 4 units to two military hospitals, just in time for the holidays.

You can check out the fundraiser on IndieGoGo, which needs just over two-thousand dollars to reach its goal. According to the fundraiser page, both Walter Reed National Military Hospital and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital will be equipped with both consoles, with 20 launch titles to boot.

For more on Operation Supply Drop, check out their website here. They also run a fundraiser for Veteran’s Day, called the 8-Bit Salute. The project has six days left to reach its goal!
