Itagaki Responds to No Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in the West

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Koei Tecmo has no intentions of bringing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to the West.

Recently fans have reached out to Creator/Director/Producer Tomonobu Itagaki about the situation on Facebook. He responded to fans with ” I have to say. This IS Xtreme selling strategy.” Itagaki himself doesn’t appear to completely know why the game isn’t making it to the west either. “Guys, I don’t know the truth, can’t understand, and even estimate. Are they planning to sell DOAX3 only in Japan??? What the hell…..” He goes on to say ” To all gamers here, loving women/games produces a game worth loving/playing. But it seems puppets of money aren’t aware of this principle even after eight years have passed. Besides, they aren’t afraid to tell lies. But no need to worry. Sooner or later, the nightmare will be end because this is a providence of the professional game industry.”

As of now, it doesn’t appear that Koei Tecmo has any plans to change their decision. It’s difficult to tell how long this will be their standard in the future. Will more DoA games be denied to the west? Hopefully this is not the case and western fans will be able to easily purchase future DoA titles.
