Kevin Conroy Will Appear As Batman After Suicide Squad

It was assumed during the promotion of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, that Kevin Conroy would be donning the cowl of the Caped Crusader for the last time, and now, it appears he will appear as Batman once more.

It has since been confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League would be Kevin Conroy’s last appearance as Batman in video games. However, it now seems that’s not the last time the iconic voice will be heard from the cowl of the Caped Crusader. As reported by IGN, Conroy will allegedly appear as Batman in two more roles before the cape is retired for good.

Kevin Conroy was a master of the craft — in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series, the episode “Perchance to Dream” showcases Conroy juggling four roles that converge on each other in a bat frenzy — and as the voice of Batman, he could do some remarkable things. Mark Hamill — the longtime voice of Batman’s arch enemy, the Joker — said, “For several generations, he has been the definitive Batman. It was one of those perfect scenarios where they got the exact right guy for the exact right part, and the world was better for it” regarding Conroy’s performance as Batman.

His final two roles (as reported by IGN from an unnamed source) will be first in Bruce Timm’s Batman: Caped Crusader on Prime Video, which has been confirmed to use voice recordings Conroy had done before his passing in 2022. Although it isn’t confirmed what role he will play in the production. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three, however, will have Conroy’s iconic pipes on hand to portray the iconic hero (and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne).

While we have seen the last of the Batman from the Arkham video game series, Kevin Conroy has a staggering back catalogue of Batman performances that fans can watch on hand at any given moment. The entirety of Batman: The Animated Series can be streamed on Max, for those interested in catching up with the hero before his final two roles.
