Metal Unit is a side-scrolling action-platforming game that sees the player step into Joanna’s shoes, and in extension, the M-Unit 11 suit to battle against enemies in an attempt to capture her sister accused of treason. The truth of humanity awaits.
Rogue-lite games are traditionally brutal on the difficulty side, so this game gives the more casual player an opportunity to uncover the plot by introducing an Assist Mode, allowing players to tailor the game to their own wants. The Challenge mode gives the more classic rogue-lite player a good run for their money.
An action-packed battle system allows the player to utilize a variety of weapons to overcome foes, with a dash technique that gives the player more mobility in their environment. Taking down enemies is in the hands of the player, as unleashing deadly combos can yield rewarding results.
The scope of the game is massive as the huge environments will give players nothing to scoff at. Exploring the surface of the planet will allow the story to progress, but choosing to delve deep inside mysterious dungeons instead can give the player mighty rewards… at a mighty price.
