Miitomo is a social networking app that allows users to create cartoon versions of themselves, known as Miis, to connect with friends in fun and humorous ways. It is the first of five free smartphone applications planned to release before 2017.
It is unknown what future Nintendo apps will be, but the company said one upcoming app will be a different genre from Miitomo, and feature a well-known Nintendo character.
