Ubisoft showed off the first gameplay footage for their upcoming Beyond Good and Evil 2 game which features jetpacks, joyrides and juicy combat.
The footage was revealed during the company’s Space Monkey Report live-stream which featured the game’s development team talking about and showing off the upcoming title. The upcoming title is a prequel to the original Beyond Good and Evil game and takes place shortly after the original game’s protagonist Jade’s birth.
However, unlike the original game which featured Jade as a set protagonist, Beyond Good and Evil 2 allows the player to create their own customizable pirate captain. The footage also showed off the game’s multiplayer, and it seems like players will be able to complete raids and missions with one another once the game eventually launches.
Although it’s not yet clear on which consoles the game will launch, it is rumoured to be making its way to XBox One, PlayStation 4 and potentially even Nintendo Switch. While the game is still a fair ways away from release, Ubisoft said that they will show off more footage at E3 2018, which takes place in early June.
