OnePlus Announced It’s Quitting Product Rollouts in the US, CA, and Europe, Support is Promised For Existing Devices

OnePlus has confirmed that it’s ending production in North America and Europe and will no longer launch new products in either region, but support is promised for existing devices in the regions.

Industry insiders and consumer communities have long suspected this moment would come, and now it’s here: OnePlus is stopping production of its devices in the North American and European regions. The company dropped the bombshell on its official website as part of a proactive global strategy adjustment, but OnePlus’s parent company, OPPO, has promised that existing phones in the regions will be fully supported for the foreseeable future.

OnePlus established a foothold in the US in 2014, launching the first phone through an invite-only system. This success culminated in the company eventually landing a deal with T-Mobile to launch phones exclusively on the service in 2018. The latest releases in the company’s catalogue to come to the North American region are the OnePlus 15, and 15R devices, which were released in 2025. Now, the company is saying its farewells to both markets.

Although no new devices will be released in North America or Europe, the company remains committed to serving customers. Backed by OPPO, existing devices will continue to receive scheduled software updates and security patches for each device model. Devices that can upgrade to the latest ColorOS 17 update (moving over from OxygenOS) will have the option to voluntarily update to receive further updates. OnePlus hasn’t detailed what happens if users decline this voluntary update, though.

OnePlus has promised to support, honour warranties and repair devices from both regions for the foreseeable future. This means users who are attached to their devices will still be able to use them until the wheels naturally fall off. Consumers looking for more information or a detailed Q+A on how to proceed with their device can head to the official release site.
