PS4 3.50 New Firmware Features

PS4 3.50 New Firmware Features

Sony has released some of the key features to be included in the new update titled, MUSASHI.

While the beta starts tomorrow we get a look at a few things that are new and frankly, a few things that should’ve come along a lot earlier.

For one, now you can be notified when your friends come online with the new update, or maybe you won’t get that notification because they decided to use another new feature, the ability to appear offline. While these are some very basic features, better late than never I suppose.

Some neat friend features are going to be available soon though, such as being able to schedule an event at a specific time. Users apart of the event will automatically be added to a party chat so the gaming can begin. Also, now in party chat is the ability to see what game each person is playing so that you can easily hop into their game and join up with them.

Lastly, other system features include Remote Play for PC and Mac, this won’t be out for beta testers but it’s certainly something to look forward to in the coming month. On top of that, there’s now the ability to live stream directly to Dailymotion, this includes the support of archiving those live broadcasts.

While this isn’t set to be everything in the latest update, these are the key highlighted features from Sony. Although most fans are clamouring away in the comments section to get any word on being able to change their PSN ID.

Beta testers should check their e-mail inbox for their download instructions and others can keep an eye out for future updates.
