The tour kicked off in September 2023 and will carry on through the first half of 2023, travelling to locations in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe, and Japan. Sonic Symphony is put on by SEGA and MGP Live. MGP Live is also behind events like Batman (1989) in Concert and The 8-Bit Big Band.

The symphony is described as an “immersive live experience” that collects and celebrates more than three decades of music from across the franchise. It’s a kind of mish-mash of Sonic music that includes classical renditions of 8- and 16-bit tunes on top of EDM elements and a full rock band. The Sonic Symphony World Tour promises that you’ll “experience the sounds of Sonic like never before.”
