Valve’s funny hats have done a lot to help Japan.

Valve’s Hats For Help charity fundraiser has come to a close, and the company has announced that a grand total of $430,543.65 was raised during the event. All proceeds will be donated to the relief effort in Japan, along with an additional $3,000 that was raised by the Unusual Hat Club.

During the Hats For Help event, Valve sold three limited edition hats to fans of Team Fortress 2. The hats included the “Humanitarian’s Hachimaki,” the “Benefactor’s Kanmuri,” and the “Magnanimous Monarch” which sold for a whopping $99.99.

The fundraiser ran from March 23 to April 6, so if you wanted to get your hands on one of these hats you’re officially out of luck. Even so, it’s nice to see gamers coming together to give to a worthy cause, and while Valve’s fundraiser may be over, you can still donate to the Japan disaster relief fund by going to the Red Cross website.
