The Falconeer Soars Onto PlayStation and Nintendo Switch This Summer

Developer Tomas Sala’s critically acclaimed aerial combat epic The Falconeer will no longer be an Xbox exclusive starting August 5 when it launches on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Falconeer launched originally as an Xbox Series X|S exclusive back in November 2020, and has since been praised for its ability to have intense and engaging combat, along with serene and beautiful moments soaring through the air on a giant falcon. It also takes full advantage of the new hardware with the Series X|S, where it can run at a blistering 120fps at 1080p resolution or an equally smooth and even more equally stunning 4K at 60fps.

Now, PlayStation and Nintendo players will also be able to take to the skies, as Wired Productions announced today that the game will also release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with full haptics support on PlayStation 5. You can watch the trailer for the PlayStation release here.

More than just the base game launching onto new devices, The Falconeer will launch as The Falconeer: Warrior Edition, which includes all DLC that has been released for the game to date. PlayStation 4 owners also need not fear an upgrade charge should they move to PS5, since purchasing the game on PlayStation entitles you to both the PS5 and PS4 versions.

The Falconeer: Warrior Edition will also include the latest never before seen expansion for the game titled The Edge of the World. It’s set to be the largest expansion for the game yet, and while it will come included in the Warrior Edition, Xbox players will be able to purchase the expansion on its own on August 5, 2021.

“I’m so pleased that over 500,000 players are exploring the world of The Great Ursee on Xbox and PC, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Nintendo Switch players as well as PlayStation players dive into the world of The Falconeer from August 5″ said Tomas Sala, the sole developer and creator for The Falconeer in a press release about the announcement.
