Tower of Fantasy is gearing up to celebrate its 1.5-year anniversary in style with an iconic collaboration and exciting new content on the horizon.
Tower of Fantasy, the popular open-world RPG from Level Infinite, has announced it will be crossing over with the legendary anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion in an epic event unfolding in the first half of 2024.
The event will introduce fan-favourite Evangelion characters Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu, and Rei Ayanami to the world of Tower of Fantasy as limited-time Simulacrum companions. Players will be able to adventure alongside these allies and their iconic mecha, like EVA-00, EVA-01, and EVA-02, during a special storyline in the Vera Sector. Exclusive rewards like the adorable Pen Pen companion and custom vehicles will also be up for grabs.
While full details are still under wraps, fans can expect story content and gameplay modes that capture the spirit of Evangelion, along with themed costumes, weapons, vehicles, and more for their characters to equip. There may also be epic boss battles and challenges to test players against Angels and other adversaries from the influential mecha series.
In addition to the anime crossover, Tower of Fantasy’s upcoming Version 3.6 update will introduce another new Simulacrum named Plotti to celebrate the game’s milestone anniversary. As a high-strung perfectionist, Plotti will aid players in investigating abnormalities with the Infinite Sundial and spatial-temporal Omnium reactors across different domains. A variety of anniversary events and rewards are also in the works to commemorate a successful first year and a half for Tower of Fantasy.
Looking ahead, Tower of Fantasy Version 4.0 promises to expand the cyberpunk-inspired world with new regions, gameplay features like aerial combat on mounts and upgraded graphics for the PlayStation 5 physical edition coming later this year.
