Phosphor Studios and RedDeer.Games announced their new game, Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron, will be out on Switch in March 2024.

Warhammer 40,000 fans will be pleased to know another game is right around the corner, reuniting the classic Ork Boyz. Phosphor Studios and RedDeer.Games have teamed up to bring a new aerial fighting game called Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron, set in Games Workshop’s iconic Warhammer universe. The game will be out on Nintendo Switch on March 8, 2024.

This fast-paced dogfighting game was originally released on PC back in February 2021. Players follow a commander pilot of a fighter plane, choose a clan, and prepare themselves to take over five different alien planets. Then, like the Crimson Skies games, players take to mid-air fights while trying to complete specific missions. These missions vary from executing precision strikes on certain targets or objectives.

With each choice of Ork clans, players can dive deeper into each of their distinct bonuses and other characteristics—like max armour or more damage buffs than others. Of course, there is some balance and pros and cons to each clan. During the campaign, players will be able to unlock and assign new ship models, weapons (SHOOTY and BLASTY DAKKA), and look over the stats of their plane.

Probably the best part of the game is the cool feature to customize your own plane; there are also plenty of colours to choose from. Players will be able to choose from a wide assortment of Dakkajets, Burna-Bommas, and Blitza-Bommas—equipped with an array of guns, bombs, and missiles. The time to do what the Orks do best, fight!

If you are into aerial fighter games like War Thunder or even the space battles from the Star Wars: Battlefront games, this could appeal to you. Be sure to check out Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron on Nintendo Switch on March 8, 2024!
