Whitethorn Games has officially announced the details for their annual Whitethorn Winter 2024 Showcase, and for the event, they will be partnering with three large indie gaming organizations — ID@Xbox, Safe In Our World, and Take This — to showcase even more indie goodness arriving over the next year. The Whitethorn Winter 2024 showcase announcement has even released a video, and it can be seen below.
CEO of Whitethorn Games, Matthew White, said, “Together, we are shaping a future where every voice is heard, every player is represented, and the gaming experience is enriched for all,” regarding the collaboration for the Whitethorn Winter 2024 showcase, while also saying how the collab will “showcase our commitment to making this industry a wider, more welcoming, more inclusive place for everyone.” The showcase will be focused on providing a safe space for gamers everywhere while assuring there is awareness regarding heavier issues such as mental health and supplementing underrepresented voices.
With Whitethorn Games and ID@Xbox’s focus on bringing the best indie games, Safe in Our World is an organization focused on bringing mental health awareness and well-being to players, developers, publishers, retailers, and other contributors to the gaming industry. Take This, on the other hand, was the first mental health non-profit to serve the gaming community, and with these four organizations working in tandem, the Whitethorn Winter 2024 showcase is primed to be a big one filled with inclusivity.
