With the upcoming release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Xbox and Paramount collaborated on a new pizza-scented controller.
Cowabunga everyone! In a collaboration between Xbox and Paramount Pictures, the world’s first pizza-scented controller has been born. Why, you may ask? To celebrate the upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, of course. To make matters better (or worse, depending on who you ask), these limited edition Xbox controllers will be a part of a giveaway and not up for retail. So…not just anyone and everyone can obtain these controllers loaded up with some delicious New York ‘za in them.
In order to enter to win these controllers, fans can follow Xbox Game Pass on Twitter and retweeting the official Xbox Game Pass sweepstakes tweet. The giveaway will occur from today (July 24) until August 13, 2023. Additionally, fans in New York City can check out these pizza-smelling controllers, eat some pizza and play in the Xbox Gaming Lounge at the Microsoft Experience Center on Fifth Avenue from 4-7 pm ET on August 2, 2023.
In terms of the design, it contains a whole lot of references from the TMNT world. Each one highlights one of the shelled brothers: Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo. Their distinct colours also pour in against the green ooze backdrop. And shockingly enough, each one has a little pizza slice attachment. You will have to see it to believe it!
TMNT was one of the biggest influencers in the history of pizza eating and gaming, so what better way to pay homage to the anthropomorphic, reptilian brothers! To get even more meta, these Xbox controllers would be fantastic for playing games with the Turtles in them, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
Minecraft players can also enjoy some TMNT content with the new DLC for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, which will be available for download from the Minecraft Marketplace on 3 August 2023. Be sure to check out the 20 TMNT skins, visit some classic locations like the Turtle Lair, and take down some crazy enemies like Leatherhead and Krang. BOOYAKASHA!
