If you walk through my home, you can’t enter a room without finding smart lighting. In the light sockets, on the walls, on the floor, they are everywhere. The convenience of smart lighting combined with the ambient potential makes them my favourite smart home accessory. Linkind, the company behind a wide variety of smart lights for both inside and outside the home, created a light that can create a special type of ambience: the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro, a light that brings the comfort of fire to your home lighting.
The Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro has 160 individual LEDs covering 50 light zones for incredibly customizable light schemes. They glow at up to 850 lumens when using white light and approximately 350 lumens for colour, which I would say is a little low, but coloured light being meant to create a cozier environment, I don’t have a particular issue with it. The colour temperature of the white light is adjustable between 1000K and 6500K and dimmable to 1%.
The biggest claim to fame of the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro is its flame effect. The height of the flame is adjustable, as is the colour. It animates to recreate the natural motion of a flame, but be mindful of what speed you set it at. When looking right at the light, slower speeds make the transitions made during animation a little more flickery than faster speeds, but the light reflecting off the walls looks perfectly fine either way. The Light Stick Pro even has a sensor so the flame is properly oriented no matter what way the light is pointed.
You can control the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro via the AIDot app, which will provide you with over 120 preset scenes, the ability to create DIY scenes, and separate flame control and music controls that change the lighting in time with your music. The AIDot app also has Dotis, the AI lighting assistant that can set the lighting in your whole home based on the cues that you give it. The app even has a light show section where you can program the lights to do what you want when you want to create a big event.

Outside of the app, the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro connects easily to any of the standard smart home apps out there, including Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home and Samsung SmartThings, to give you the one-stop shop for all of your smart home devices and provide you with the easy voice control that the rest of your devices have. You won’t get quite the customization experience that the AIDot app (which feels very competitive with the Govee app in terms of ease of use) provides, but you can’t beat the convenience.
Sadly, I do not have the requisite outdoor lighting setups to test how the lighting can set such a large scene, but from a single-light setup at my front entrance to a bedroom, the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro fills the room with the vibe that you are trying to create with any coloured lighting scheme, and the white light illuminates the room beautifully. I do wish that I had sconces along the wall to see these lights working side by side to set the mood, but they did a great job with the setups that I had.
With an MSRP of $39.99 USD for a single bulb (with savings if you purchase multipacks, costing $119.99 USD for a four-pack), you really need to decide if the effects, like the flame, that the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro can provide are really worth it. They offer a better beam angle than most of the competition at 310 degrees, but if all you are looking for in a smart light is one that lights your room and maybe lets you select a colour, there are more affordable options out there to do the job just fine. If you want a light that sets the mood, the Linkind Smart Light Stick Pro will serve you well.
