For any tech enthusiast, having a wide variety of tech devices is always a lot of fun. That is until it comes to charging several devices at the same time. Sure, you could plug in a power bar with several independent charging bricks and cables, but that can clutter up your floor or desk and aesthetically doesn’t look very nice either. Meet the UGreen 300W Desktop Charger, a charging up that has the power to charge laptops and several other devices simultaneously.

Looking around the UGreen 300W Desktop Charger, the front has 4 USB Type-C ports, one rated for up to 140W of power and a USB A port. The Space Grey metal casing both looked and felt great with its smooth finish. One notable aspect of the hub was the overall heft and weight, giving the impression that the charging hub was well made with premium materials and felt like it would hold up well over time without any flimsiness.

Despite the power output, the relatively compact size makes it easy to take on the road, taking up not much more space than a gaming laptop power brick, albeit a bit thicker. A thoughtful addition UGreen has made to the power cord is a set of cable ties to wrap the cord when travelling or not in use. I wish more companies would include these with their devices, as it can make setups look much tidier and cleaner without loose cables.

The UGreen 300W Desktop Charger aims to provide enough power for desktop users who need a single charging hub to simultaneously power laptops, phones, tablets, and more. With 300 watts of power output, it offers one of the highest power outputs on the market while remaining compact and portable thanks to the use of GaN technology.

The inclusion of both USB-C and USB-A ports gives you the flexibility to charge both new and legacy devices. The high-quality braided USB-C cable included in the box is a nice bonus for easily charging laptops at full speed.

With its sturdy metal casing, generous power output and versatile port selection, the UGreen 300W Desktop Charger appears to be an excellent single-hub charging solution for power users who need to charge multiple high-powered devices. Thoughtful design touches like the included cable management make it a product that stands out from less premium competitors.

While I have not tried to max out the UGreen 300W Desktop Charger by using all ports at once, I have regularly charged my phone, gaming handhelds and earbuds all at once and the temperature remained cool to the touch. Charging more power-hungry devices, such as multiple phones and laptops at once may increase the overall temperature over extended use, although my laptop does not support USB-C charging, so I was unable to test this.

Another nice addition that UGreen has included with this desktop charger is the inclusion of a very nice braided USB C to USB C charging cable that can handle the maximum charging speeds of 140W. This could be especially useful for those who want to charge their laptop with the charger but do not necessarily have the cable needed to do so.

It may not be exceptionally long, but the cable is more than adequate for working on a desk. It even has Velcro cable ties to keep it nice and neat when not in use. While it would’ve also been nice to see a small case in the box for when you travel with the charger, it is by no means a deal breaker.

It is certainly nice to see more and more companies offering space-saving hubs that can charge multiple devices, including laptops while freeing up wall outlets for other appliances or devices. UGreen has done a great job in this regard, also selling much smaller hubs for users who do not need the greater power output of the 300W desktop charger. This has definitely helped to further clean up the mess of power bricks needed near my bedside table and has made nightly charging much more convenient for me.
