Whether on a job site, at the beach, camping, or even during a blackout, mobile power is always a necessary resource to keep things running. Sure, small battery banks can be good for small electronics, maybe even some laptops, but what do you do when you want to keep your entertainment system or tools working to complete the task at hand? Meet the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400, a mobile power station that offers a handful of useful features to help you get things done.
Unlike the Bluetti Apex 300 I reviewed months back, the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 comes in at about half the size and weight. Coming in at around 42 pounds compared with 84 for the Apex 300, the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 is much easier to take with you wherever you plan to go that requires additional power outlets.

To further ease the process of lugging everything around, VTOMAN has incorporated two large and robust grab handles on top of the unit and even built in a storage compartment that is large enough to carry all included cables, ensuring you will never have to search for its power cable if stored properly.
“Offering a 1408Wh battery, the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 gives you enough capacity to power multiple gaming laptops, power tools, speakers or many small to mid-size appliances around the house.”
Offering a 1408Wh battery, the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 gives you enough capacity to power multiple gaming laptops, power tools, speakers or many small to mid-size appliances around the house. It is the kind of power station that feels just as useful during a power outage as it does in a garage, a backyard setup, or a temporary workspace. With multiple outlets available, you can charge or power several devices at once, making it easy to keep essential gear running without constantly swapping cables.
Not only do you get three standard household outlets, but the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 also includes a strong selection of ports for smaller devices. This includes four USB Type-A ports, with three outputting 12W and one offering 18W, along with two USB Type-C ports capable of delivering up to 100W. That means you can easily charge phones, tablets, handhelds, cameras and even more demanding devices like laptops without needing extra wall adapters. There is also a 12V car outlet for vehicle-ready accessories, and VTOMAN has built in a dedicated socket for jumper cables should your car’s battery ever die on you.

Charging the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 was shockingly rapid when using a standard household outlet, taking the unit from 30% to 100% in under an hour. That kind of charging speed makes a big difference if you need to top it up quickly before a trip, a storm, or a day of heavy use. The tradeoff is noise, as the internal fans often kicked in and ran quite loudly during rapid charging to keep the unit cool. It is not a horrible by any means, but it is something to keep in mind if you plan to charge it in a bedroom, office or any other space where you need things to stay quiet.
However, given how fast the whole process is, that likely will not become too big a concern if you charge it in a room where noise is not a big issue, such as a garage or workshop. I would like to see a slower charge mode that keeps noise levels lower in potential future models to help keep the unit quieter.
VTOMAN also gives you the flexibility to plug in a solar panel to charge up when a wall outlet may not be available. This is something I could see being especially useful when camping or working remotely, although I was not able to put one to the test as I did not have one on hand.

I attempted to stress-test the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 by running my gaming laptop, a house fan, and a handful of small electronics to see how quickly I could drain the battery. Even with everything plugged in and running, I still managed a rather impressive 10 and a half hours of runtime, which should be more than enough battery to survive an extended power outage or power devices when normal outlets are unavailable or unusable.

While I was not able to fully test the jumper cables on my car’s battery, mainly due to having a new and healthy battery in my car, I think the overall size and weight might be a little more than I would personally want to place in my engine bay to get my car going.
The jumper cables included with the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 are rather short as well, meaning the power pack would likely have to be held by a partner or friend, close to the battery, when trying to jump-start a vehicle. That makes it rather cumbersome to achieve. If VTOMAN had included cables long enough to run off the unit when it is on the ground, this could be a great at-home solution for dead batteries.

Need to light up a workspace while powering tools? The VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 still has you covered, offering a wide, five-function flashlight on the rear of the unit that illuminated my bedroom well enough to see everything, though certainly not as well as proper light sources. In a pinch, this is more than enough to help get you through emergency situations or provide extra lighting when needed.
I was thoroughly impressed with everything the VTOMAN FlashSpeed 2400 had to offer while maintaining a relatively compact form factor. I can take it with me and rest assured that I can power anything I may need, and when not in use, it does not take up much space when stored. This is an excellent and well-designed unit that I hope to keep using for years to come.
