2K and Gearbox Software announced that the Open Beta for their new MOBA shooter Battleborn is available today at 1:00am EST on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
The Battleborn Open Beta includes two full story episodes, The Algorithm and Void’s Edge, which can be played in up to 5-player co-op. Two Competitive Multiplayer Modes, Incursion and Meltdown, will also be available.
Players that participate in the Open Beta will start with seven unlocked heroes, while more of the game’s 25-character roster will unlock from levelling up and completing objectives. Open Beta players can also earn exclusive skins from achieving group challenges that are transferrable to the main game.
Battleborn is a team-based shooter from the minds behind the Borderlands franchise. The game features 25 unique playable characters, with a promised additional five free post-launch characters. Battleborn will be available on PS4, PC and Xbox One on May 3, 2016.
