Far from content to reveal one Gears of War game at E3, Microsoft and The Coalition announced three new games in the franchise at their press conference on Sunday.
The biggest announcement was Gears of War 5. Announced by The Coalition producer Rod Fergusson, the game was leaked via a Walmart Canada ad in May. Judging from the trailer, the main protagonist seems to be Kait Diaz, one of the main characters of Gears of War 4.
The first announced title was Gears Pop, a game that combines Gears of War with the popular Funko Pop branded figures. No details were revealed on how the game would play, though it will be a mobile game and would release in 2019.
Next up was Gears Tactics, a strategy game set in the universe. Set for launch on the PC in 2019, it will be set 12 years before the first Gears of War and will follow a new squad hunting down Locusts.
