Back in July 2025, CGM had the opportunity to look at Gang of Frogs—an exciting roguelike shooter starring space frogs. Now the studio behind the game has some good news to share about a new partnership.
Announced via press release, Aska Studios is teaming up with Megabit to bring the all-action co-op shooter to players and inviting the community to help shape its development. Initially, Aska was both publishing and developing the game, however, Megabit, which was co-founded by Warren Spector, was brought on board to bring their considerable knowledge and experience to the game. Megabit is known for publishing such games as Thick as Thieves, Clawpunk, and the upcoming Hello Sunshine.
Ahead of its Early Access launch next year, Megabit and Aska Studios are inviting players to help shape Gang of Frogs through regular playtests, allowing them to jump into new builds, try out new features, and share feedback directly with the team. Players will also be able to see weekly developer updates, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at the game as it evolves.

He continued, “Getting the game in front of players early and often is really important to us. The feedback we get from players is not only very useful, but it brings us and our community closer together. We’re excited to build that into the way we work with Megabit.” CEO of Megabit, Jonathan Hales echoed this sentiment saying, “We’re thrilled to be working with Aska on Gang of Frogs,” adding, “It’s a thrill-a-minute shooter packed full of character and we’re excited to be able to open its doors to the community straight away. We can’t wait to see what they think.”
The first community play-test goes live on October 1st, 2026 and runs until the 4th, giving players an early shot at the chaos and a direct say in where the game goes next. Players can wishlist Gang of Frogs on Steam.
