Asobu Is Back With An Exciting Showcase Featuring Over 80 Big Indie Games for 2022 3

Continuing the momentum from Day of the Devs 2022, Asobu — a community founded to support Japanese Indie Game development and distribution abroad — has unveiled another showcase for 2022.

As Indie gaming continues their meteoric rise into prominence with specific designations for larger platforms in the bigger event scene — such as ID@Xbox — players are given more information than ever before, and that’s exactly what the community Asobu aims to do with their newly announced showcase.

This will be the third annual indie gaming based showcase in the bag for Asobu, and ahead of the massive BitSummit — the largest Japanese based indie gaming event— that will pull back the curtain on many, MANY, exciting titles up and coming for the budding community. This year’s Day of the Devs showed two titles, Fox and Frog Travelers: The Demon of Adashino Island by Rias & Goodbye World by YO FUJI, and the new showcase will feature a boatload of new titles. Of course, the showcase will coincide with a Steam Event page focused on the showcase gathering demos and sales of current and future Japanese indies, starting at the premiere of the showcase on July 30th until August 5th.

The massive upcoming showcase will be two whole hours long with a massive lineup of games that is said to eclipse 80 different titles, with the list of titles available on the Asobu website. The showcase gives fans good front row seats to what the community is capable of demonstrating involving Indie Games, and if the previous Indie showcases are any inkling, this one is set to be massive in the revelation category, with a few surprises possibly thrown in by the team at Asobu.

The Asobu Indie Showcase for 2022 will premiere this Saturday on July 30th, and fans can watch on Asobu’s YouTube or Twitch channels.
