Asus ROG Announces Zephyrus and TUF Gaming Laptops

Asus ROG announced a sleuth of the company’s latest gaming laptops, Zephyrus M16, S17 and TUF Gaming F15/F17 at its ‘Unleash The Tiger Inside’ event.

Starting off with the Zephyrus S17, a premium gaming laptop that features a 17-inch WQHD 165display with two-panel display options, WQHD or 4K. While the laptop has a 165Hz refresh rate the panel is a little less at 120Hz. The laptop also includes an optical-mechanical keyboard that lifts the device at a 5-degree angle for improved typing comfort.

Zephyrus S17

The gaming laptop includes an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 laptop GPU, up to 48 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The S17 comes with a USB-C port, DisplayPort, HDMI port, Ethernet port, SD reader and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming laptop is set to launch in late Q2 in North America. Both Zephyrus laptops are shipped with Intel’s latest 11th generation Tiger Lake-H processor.

Up next is the Zephyrus M16, it features a 16-inch WQHD resolution display with a 165Hz refresh rate, Adaptive-Sync and a 3ms response time. The display features don’t stop there as it also includes a 16:10 aspect ratio, Dolby Vision HDR support and Pantone-validated colours across a DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The gaming laptop includes an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 laptop GPU, up to 48 GB of DDR4-3200Mhz RAM and 2 TB of SSD storage. The M16 comes with a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, a MicroSD slot and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The Zephyrus M16 gaming laptop is set to launch in late Q2 in North America.

Finally is the TUF Gaming F15/F17 laptops, powerful new hardware that Asus ROG says is stylish and accessible to all gamers. Both laptops come with Intel’s newest that gives the device up to 32 GB of DDR-3200 RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage. Both come in the ‘Sleek Eclipse Gray’ and bold ‘Graphite Black’ colour options.

The F15 panel includes a 240 Hz refresh rate while the F17 is a little scaled back at 144Hz. The F15/F17 comes with a thunderbolt 4 port, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 port and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The TUF Gaming F15/F17 laptops are set to launch in late Q2 in North America.

Asus and Intel had a lot to announce today. Their aim seems to be taking on Ryzen in the gaming world, only time will tell.
