New Castlevania: Nocturne Trailer Introduces Last Belmont Clan Descendant

The latest Castlevania: Nocturne trailer dropped today and it features the last living descendant of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades facing off against night hordes.

Announced over a whole year ago, Castlevania: Nocturne has finally blessed fans with a bloody new trailer that features everything fans of the Netflix Original could hope for including action, wisecracks, and of course bloody violence at the expense of vampires and demons. The trailer can be seen below in all of its glory.

It’s important to note, the trailer embraces the source material right off the bat with an introduction to the franchise by way of music. A rearranged orchestra cover of the Castlevania: Rondo of Blood theme “Divine Bloodlines” can be heard playing in the background of the trailer which is a nice touch for diehard fans tuning in from 1993. The trailer also seems to move in the direction that tells the story of Rondo of Blood prior to the more popular sequel, Symphony of the Night, which deploys Alucard as the playable protagonist and he is not featured in the trailer at all.

New Castlevania: Nocturne Trailer Introduces Last Belmont Clan Descendant

Castlevania: Nocturne graces the screen with the new protagonist, Richter Belmont as the last surviving member of the Belmont clan, facing off with a team of magic-slinging warriors against hordes of the night. The series’ focus on high-fidelity action sequences hasn’t been lost, with fluid animations carrying momentum as Benjamin Plessala and Edward Bluemel shoulder voice duties for Richter as the young and adult versions respectively. James Callis has also been credited with returning as Alucard for Castlevania: Nocturne, despite his obvious absence from the trailer.

Despite all of the good mentions, it is notable to mention Creator and Writer Warren Ellis is not returning for Castlevania: Nocturne, although at least four writers have been credited for the work according to IMDb.

Castlevania: Nocturne graces screens everywhere when it launches exclusively on Netflix September 28.
