Anime streaming giant Crunchyroll is bringing its A-game to Lucca Comics and Games 2023, treating fans to exclusive screenings, activations, and gifts from November 1-5.
The centerpiece of Crunchyroll’s Lucca presence is an expansive booth located in the Medieval walls Baluardo San Donato area. Fans visiting the booth can partake in activations for popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and Naruto Shippuden. Gamers can test their skills at a Jujutsu Kaisen game and receive exclusive cards. Cosplayers and photographers alike can snap pics in front of Frieren and Naruto backdrops and receive free trial offers.
Crunchyroll subscribers also have a chance to win rare prizes through a booth lottery wheel. Hime Nendoroid figures are among the most coveted items up for grabs.
In addition, Crunchyroll has joined forces with partners ONE PIECE and J-Pop Manga in a sprawling interconnected booth area. ONE PIECE fans can leave messages on a comment wall and collect 30-day Crunchyroll free trial cards.
Beyond the booth, Crunchyroll has organized multiple theatrical screenings around Lucca, including the Italian premiere of SPY x FAMILY Season 2 on November 1st and Frieren’s Italian dub premiere on November 2nd. The full list can be seen here:

The most highly-anticipated event is likely the November 3rd double header of a massive ONE PIECE cosplay parade through the city streets, followed by a special screening of One Piece Film: Red.
