The Devil In Me Is the Next Dark Pictures Game

The next game is the "Season 1 finale"

The Devil In Me Is the Next Dark Pictures Game

As with the past two games, the release of The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes has officially revealed the next game in the series, The Devil In Me.

A scene at the end of House of Ashes reveals the new game, which is being called the Season 1 finale to The Dark Pictures Anthology. In the trailer we see a lone figure sitting at a desk as a voice says “Think of the most profound thing you’ve ever done. The most beautiful thing you’ve ever created. And I promise you, it’s nothing compared to watching the life bleed out of someone.”

Some horrific images play, and we finally see that the figure at the desk is a desiccated corpse held up by braces and machines. It seems like The Devil In Me is taking an even different tone from the three games before. At the moment, there’s no kind of release date or window for The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, but considering there’s been roughly one year between each of the other releases it’s likely the next game will come out sometime in the latter half of 2022.

The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes launches on October 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This time around, the story focuses on a group of soldiers that uncovers a horrific ancient secret. Here’s the official description of House of Ashes from its website,

“A military unit searching for chemical weapons unearth something far deadlier. In the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple deep beneath the Arabian desert something evil is awakened. Savage and unstoppable, a nest of ancient and unearthly creatures has found a new prey to hunt……

Horrific discoveries and impossible decisions face the Unit as they strive to navigate a subterranean labyrinth and escape the terrifying threat. Will they each prioritise their own survival, or put aside their fears and their personal rivalries to fight together as one?”
