Elden Ring Reveals 15 Minutes of New Gameplay

As promised, FromSoftware has released 15 minutes of gameplay of its highly anticipated action-role-playing game, Elden Ring.

The gameplay preview features the game’s many environments and what players can expect from the game when it releases early next year. In addition, FromSoftware highlights some new features coming to the studio’s next game which includes travelling through the huge map on horseback, what seems like random encounters which shows off the character going at it with a massive dragon and how players will use the map in the game.

That’s not all as they focused on the game’s multiple approaches to combat which include hand-to-hand/sword-and-shield combat, magic, stealth, a pot boy counter and a new way to summon AI-controlled players known as spirits during gameplay. After that, FromSoftware focuses on another aspect of the game called “Legacy Dungeon”, an area of the game that challenges the player’s skills to the test in a multi-path area. If successful, a player will earn a reward at the end.

Elden Ring is a fantasy collaboration between FromSoftware and author, George R. R. Martin that puts players on a journey to The Lands Between where they must restore ‘The Elden Ring’ to become the new lord of the land. The game was originally announced in June 2019 at E3 2019. Since then, the game has been relatively quiet, but a trailer featuring an early build of the game was leaked earlier this year.

Fans have been clamouring for more Elden Ring and Geoff Keighley gave the people what they wanted at Summer Game Fest in June. As the final last showcase for the event, Elden Ring, with fan hype level to the max, came out with a release date of January 21st, 2022. That date wouldn’t stick too long as the game was recently delayed by a month.

Elden Ring is set to launch on February 25th, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. That seems so far away, so if you can’t that long playable network test is set run from November 12th through the 14th.
