Fortnite Adds Olivia Rodrigo To Its Growing Roster Of Pop Superstars

The Fortnite Icon Series is all about celebrities faithfully representing themselves in-game, and Epic Games has announced that the latest pop superstar to join that roster is Olivia Rodrigo.

Fortnite is apparently collecting Grammy Award-winning artists to join the fray on Battle Island. The latest pop superstar to join the roster is Olivia Rodrigo, and she’s joining the roster as part of the Icon Series. The Icon Series takes a celebrity’s entire likeness — voice and all — and drenches it in the signature Fortnite art style. Then that likeness is cut loose on Epic Games servers and can be played in Festival, Battle Royale, and more.

While there are quite a few pop stars in the Icon Series, the series also includes other big personalities like streamers, athletes, and other musicians (including Eminem). This is the group Olivia Rodrigo is joining in the Icon Series, and an official trailer announcing her arrival can be seen below.

Olivia Rodrigo is being added to the game tonight, and players will be able to purchase two outfits and a cosmetic set from the Item Shop. She will also make an appearance as an NPC in the game’s Battle Royale mode, making her findable during matches (players who find her will unlock a free Heart Locket Spray and a new Loading Screen).

The singer drops into Battle Island with two distinct styles: The first is based on the artwork for her newly released album, “You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl In Love,” and the second style is her outfit from the viral 2021 single “good 4 u” music video. Listed below are the items set to be available tonight in the Fortnite Item Shop, and staying until July 25:

  • Olivia’s Butterfly Wings Back Bling
  • Flammable Sticker Collection Back Bling

Olivia Rodrigo is arriving in the Item Shop at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight, so fans can jump in as the pop Icon then!
