Fortnite has had many events in the past that celebrate anime, and this time My Hero Academia is boarding the Battle Bus.
Similarly to the latest Dragon Ball x Fortnite crossover, this new event encapsulates signature moves and characters from the show and ports it to the chaotic battle royale of the Epic Games titan. Although it is surprising to see beloved anime characters like Goku wield looted weapons, the celebration of anime is noted on the island with the destructive effect of the anime moves that come included. The gameplay trailer featuring MHA can be seen below.
The crossover event features MHA fan-favourite characters Izuku Midoriya, All Might, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochaco Uraraka joining the battle royale with new My Hero Academia themed Quests, Rewards, and gameplay items like past Fortnite crossover events.
Key My Hero Academia X Fortnite Highlights
- During the Battle Royale mode players can harness the power of “One For All” and unleash a huge punch to take down structures and opponents with Deku’s Smash. ‘All Might Supply Drops’ and My Hero Academia Vending Machines drop the exciting Deku’s Smash item, so combatants will have to keep their eyes peeled.
- The Hero Training Gym (island code 6917-7775-5190) built by creator team Zen Creative, allows fans to play a team vs. team combat mode with two different arena settings. Players can earn Rescue Points from eliminations or by capturing Rescue Zones. The first team to capture 100 Rescue Points wins, and of course the new Deku’s Smash can turn the tide of battle.
- New My Hero Academia Quests in Fortnite Battle Royale, Zero Build, and the Hero Training Gym give goals for the crossover event. The Quests need to be complete by December 29, 2022, at 7 PM ET to unlock XP and special items including the Deku Spray, PLUS ULTRA Spray, Deku’s Glove Emoticon, and U.A. Cape Back Bling.
- Fans can unlock Izuku Midoriya, All Might, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochaco Uraraka Cosmetic Sets featuring alt Styles, Back Blings, and Pickaxe skins in the Item Shop until the event ends. New emotes are also available with the Symbol of Peace Emote, and flex your brain with the Hero Analysis Emote.
