How to Experience the Fortnite Ariana Grande Rift Tour This Weekend

Break Up With Your Weekend

... 87

Fortnite isn’t just the biggest video game. It’s also the biggest…thing.

And the next big thing in the world is a free Ariana Grande concert experience event. It’s free to attend and all you need is an internet connection and a device capable of running Fortnite, which is almost everything at this point.

Rift Tour starts on Friday, August 6th, and runs through Sunday, August 8th, but it’s best to make a plan now so you or someone you know doesn’t miss out. There will likely be some YouTube videos of the event later but nothing beats being there with your digital avatar. These concert experiences might be free, but that doesn’t make them any less special.

Epic Games recommends booting the game up and being in the digital waiting area an hour before shows start, so you’re prepared and ready to go. There are five shows, so you can always try again if something goes wrong unless you wait until the last show. Don’t do that though. That wouldn’t be a pro-gamer move.

Rift Tour showtimes are below:

Show 1: Friday, August 6 @ 6 PM ET

Show 2: Saturday, August 7 @ 2 PM ET

Show 3: Sunday, August 8 @ 12 AM ET

Show 4: Sunday, August 8 @ 10 AM ET

Show 5: Sunday, August 8 @ 6 PM ET

If you haven’t played Fortnite and are here for Ariana Grande then don’t worry. You probably have a device that runs the game in your house already. You might even be holding one right now! It’s easy to get started and Fortnite is completely free to download.

It is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and select Android devices. It used to be available on iOS, but that’s a long story.

If you have a PC or Mac, but it’s not super powerful, you might still be alright. Fortnite has higher framerates and resolutions in some versions but the game scales well and can function across a wide variety of hardware. If you don’t have anything capable of running the game, then you may be able to enjoy it without a controller through a friend or streamer that’s planning on checking out Rift Tour.

If you have a Fortnite-capable device then getting started is easy.

  1. Download Fortnite from your device’s store
  2. Start the game to make, so any necessary updates can be downloaded
  3. Load up the Rift Tour Playlist 30 minutes before one of the shows, which is when the mode will be available.
  4. If capacity is reached, or you aren’t able to make it then make note of the next scheduled show to try again.

Then get ready to party and jam with Ariana Grande and Piggy Smallz, which is seriously the cutest and best name for a pet. Popular tracks from the multi-platinum artist will combine with special moments from Fortnite as players enjoy the magical visual spectacle event.

New players and longtime looters can also play as Ariana Grande in the game’s modes. She’s been added to the game’s Icon series and can be purchased in the Item Shop for a limited time. There are also some extra goodies for Fortnite Crew members and free treats for everyone that stops by during the event.

This is a great time to reach out to anyone you know that doesn’t play games, especially if they’re a fan of Ariana Grande!
