Path of Exile: Necropolis Key Features

  • Firstly, in the introductory phase of Necropolis, you are introduced to the Undertaker Arimor, who will provide you with the Lantern of Arimor. This powerful family heirloom can illuminate the wrathful spirits haunting monsters throughout Wraeclast, and it will be the player’s bread and butter heading into the new content.
  • Knowledge of the game’s systems is paramount, as players will encounter spirits that boon enemy mobs, making it more of a challenge to deal with them. These buffs deploy heftier rewards, so it could be worth excising some spirits to help the Undertaker out.
  • With the Lantern of Arimor in tow, the Undertaker hopes to employ you to rid Wraeclast of the haunting spirits and further his cryptic cause. The Lantern can be used when entering any new area to detect the supernatural, so the player is aware of any hauntings happening around them.
  • A new tier of Endgame Difficulty awaits – Path of Exile: Necropolis introduces a new Endgame Difficulty, which tests your characters in new ways. Tier 17 maps have also been added, featuring a new set of bosses, more powerful monsters, and rewards. Players can scale the peaks of Path of Exile’s most difficult challenges by completing these maps and proving their mettle.
  • Arimor’s Cemetary – A new area that allows fans to create powerful new weapons and armour with drops they’ve collected. Burying these items in the open graves allows new abilities to slot into weapons and armour efficiently.
  • The Scarab system has gotten an overhaul! A myriad of new options have been added, giving ways to push the challenges and rewards of Endgame Maps to new heights.

Game Director Jonathan Rogers said, “While we can get the game’s content ready in time, we underestimated how long it takes to get gameplay polished to a standard that we are happy with.
