Hearthstone Reveals New Patch 23.4, Mini-Set, Battlegrounds and Mercenaries 1

With Hearthstone’s Throne of the Tides Mini-Set already unveiled, they added more details on the Battlegrounds and Mercenaries update.

“This guy’s toast!” Too old of a Hearthstone joke? Never. With the teasing of the Throne of the Tides Mini-Set already shown on the Blizzard site, today, the team at Hearthstone announced the release of the mini-set would be joined with an update to Battlegrounds and Mercenaries in Patch 23.4. Everything will be available on June 1, 2022, along with the latest chapter called “Book of Heroes: Faelin.”

The Throne of the Tides Mini-Set will consist of 35 different cards: 4 Legendary cards, 1 Epic card, 14 Rare cards, and 16 common cards. These new cards can be found in Voyage to the Sunken City packs, or players can get the entire 66-card Mini-Set for $14.99 or 2000 Gold. The Mini-Set will also be available in an all-Golden version for $69.99—for the big-time collectors out there.

Now, as for the Battlegrounds update, it was stated that the mighty Lord of Terror himself, Diablo will be making his great return, but for one week only. The limited time visit will begin on June 1 to celebrate the launch of another Blizzard game, Diablo Immortal, on June 2. Diablo is expected to be available to all players during this week only, along with the new Hero, Ozumat, and new Minion, Bubblette.

Hearthstone Reveals New Patch 23.4, Mini-Set, Battlegrounds And Mercenaries 3

The Mercenaries update has brought the second, new time-limited event: Y’Shaarj. This event will involve players completing all 10 tasks to earn the Y’Shaarj mercenary, a random Golden Y’Shaarj Portrait, the Diamon Y’Shaarj Portrait, and 750 total Mercenaries Coins. The Hearthstone team recommended that Humans and Pirates would be really helpful against Y’Shaarj for this event.

The event will include new Mercenaries such as Y’Shaarj (Legendary Protector) and Queen Azshara (Legendary Caster), along with new Zones and Bounties. Additionally, Mystery Treasure nodes on Bounty maps now give a chance to either open a Cursed Treasure—which will hinder the player’s characters throughout the rest of their turn—or open Bonus Rewards that will be added to the player’s haul upon completion of a Bounty! This event will run from June 7-June 21.

With a new major update, it always brings a new chapter as Book of Heroes: Faelin will begin on June 1. The Hearthstone team described the chapter: “When the opportunity to visit Zin-Azshari finally arrives, Ambassador Faelin is eager to face any danger that may cross the path of his intrepid crew. But is the distant past truly as he remembered it, or did something darker lie beneath the surface all this time?”

This exciting adventure can be played with three different characters, offering different perks. Finishing all 17 missions the first time will grant players the Ghost Ship card back; completing all missions with a different character will earn players a Standard pack; and completing all missions with the third character will earn players a Voyage to the Sunken City pack.

For more details, you can check out the Hearthstone news page on the Blizzard site for a full breakdown. Get your treasure and your bounties now before they are gone for good!
