Exciting Marvel's Blade Announced By Bethesda At The Game Awards 2023

There were many announcements and world premieres last night at The Game Awards 2023, and one of them was a new Marvel’s Blade title from Bethesda, the makers of Dishonored and Deathloop.

There were many first-time looks at video games last night at The Game Awards 2023, and one of them was a surprise out of Bethesda Studios. The studio revealed a new license they’re working on in tandem with Arkane Lyon, and from the creators of Deathloop and Dishonored, comes the third-person POV Marvel’s Blade. While not much is known currently about the title, we know it more than likely has no connection to the live-action project, and Bethesda released a very brief teaser trailer that fans can check it out below.

VP and Creative Director of Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann said “In honour of Blade’s 50th anniversary, we have found the perfect match for the Daywalker in Arkane Lyon, a studio of uncompromising artists who continually push the boundaries of game design and innovation,” including “In addition to their award-winning talent, it’s their personal passion and bold vision for our half-human, half-vampire iconoclast that makes this collaboration a perfect fit.”

Bethesda also announced Arkane Lyon has just begun development on Marvel’s Blade as well, so it could be a while until fans see or hear more, but it will feature an original story for the hero. Game Director of Arkane Lyon, Dinga Bakaba said “The opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine and a challenge that our team embraces with a passion. We couldn’t be happier to put players in Blade’s boots, as he becomes the champion of my hometown of Paris, one stake at a time” regarding the opportunity to work with an esteemed license.

While not much is known about the project yet, fans can head to the official Bethesda site for more information on the upcoming title.
