Nintendo will be bringing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
During the convention, Nintendo will have a bunch of Switch games for fans to enjoy, as well as host activities for players of all ages.
In addition to attendees being able to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at the Nintendo Gaming Lounge, they will also get to try out Mario Tennis Aces, FIFA 19, and Super Mario Odyssey. With the upcoming launch of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, fans will also get to try out the new Poké Ball Plus controller at the same location.
For the parents and kids, they can participate in the Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze challenge, as well as take photos in front of a Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker backdrop. Fans who are between the ages 13 and 19 will get to participate in a four-player Arcadian Teen Tournament for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Twitter users who just can’t wait to get their hands on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can tweet @NintendoAmerica using the hashtag #BringMeSmash for a chance to skip the lines. A member of Nintendo’s roaming team might show up with a golden ticket for the Twitter user.
“San Diego Comic-Con is a great opportunity to welcome new fans into the Nintendo family and for some of our biggest fans to interact with Nintendo in fun and creative ways,” Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, said. “This year, we’re really excited to see fans play the newly announced Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We encourage fans of all ages to bring their friends and families to experience what Nintendo has to offer this year.”
Nintendo’s Gaming Lounge will be open to everyone, and will be located in the San Diego ballroom of the Marriott Marquis & Marina.
